Terms of Service

Options Senior Care

Welcome to Options Senior Care. These Terms of Service outline the understanding between Options Senior Care and our clients regarding the use of our non-medical in-home care and companionship services.

By arranging or using our services, clients and/or their representatives agree to the following terms.

1. Services Provided

Options Senior Care provides non-medical in-home support services designed to assist clients in maintaining comfort, independence, and quality of life within their homes and communities.

Services may include:

Options Senior Care does not provide nursing care, medical treatment, emergency services, or clinical health care.

Clients experiencing a medical emergency should call 911 immediately.

2. Scheduling & Availability

Services are scheduled in advance based on availability. While every effort is made to maintain consistent scheduling and caregiver continuity, schedules may occasionally require adjustment due to illness, emergencies, weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Options Senior Care will communicate any necessary changes as promptly as possible.

3. Cancellation Policy

We kindly request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or schedule changes whenever possible.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to the full visit charge.

For clients with regularly scheduled ongoing visits, extended cancellations or temporary pauses in service may affect caregiver availability and reserved scheduling times. Clients wishing to hold their regular time slot during an extended absence may do so through a reduced “hold your place” fee arranged in advance.

While we will always do our best to accommodate returning clients, regular time slots cannot always be guaranteed without an active reserved schedule.

4. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon receipt of invoice unless otherwise arranged in writing.

Options Senior Care reserves the right to pause or discontinue services for unpaid balances or repeated late payments.

Travel fees may apply for services provided outside the Invermere area.

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients and families agree to:

Options Senior Care reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services in situations involving unsafe conditions, harassment, abuse, or inappropriate behavior.

6. Privacy & Confidentiality

Options Senior Care respects the privacy and confidentiality of all clients and families. Personal information is handled carefully and used only for the purpose of providing and managing services.

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for additional information regarding how personal information is collected, used, and protected.

7. Limitation of Liability

Options Senior Care provides supportive, non-medical care services intended to promote comfort, companionship, and general well-being.

While every reasonable effort is made to provide safe and dependable service, Options Senior Care cannot guarantee specific outcomes, prevent all accidents or injuries, or ensure uninterrupted service availability.

Clients and families acknowledge that participation in activities, transportation, walking assistance, and daily living support carries inherent risks.

8. Service Refusal or Termination

Options Senior Care reserves the right to refuse, pause, or terminate services when:

Whenever possible, services will be discontinued respectfully and with reasonable notice.

9. Changes to Terms

These Terms of Service may be updated periodically to reflect changes in services, policies, or legal requirements.
